May 21, 2026 JAZZ IN OLYMP 2026: A festival atmosphere for a good cause
A day full of music, encounters and special moments
75 years of company history. 22 years of festival tradition for a good cause. In 2026, the fashion brand OLYMP Bezner KG will once again be hosting “JAZZ IN OLYMP” on Corpus Christi Day at its premises on Höpfigheimer Straße in Bietigheim-Bissingen (Ludwigsburg district, Baden-Württemberg, Germany). Initiator Eberhard Bezner is delighted to be hosting the popular music festival on Thursday, 4 June 2026, with a special anniversary theme. The proceeds from admission fees will once again go towards projects for children and young people supported by the OLYMP-Bezner-Stiftung, a charitable foundation based in Germany.
The event kicks off on Corpus Christi at 11 a.m. The Acustic Trio Joachim Kunz will provide the musical backdrop, accompanying both the programme and the intervals. At around noon, Doc’s Big Band, together with singer Sabine Petrich, will bring a classic big band sound in the style of Glenn Miller to the stage. At 1:30 p.m., Denny Ilett and Colin Dawson will follow with their unmistakable Frank Sinatra swing.
From 3 p.m., the OLYMP All Stars will set the tone. Bandleader Engelbert Wrobel (clarinet/saxophone) has once again brought together long-standing international band members Karl-Friedrich Fürst von Hohenzollern (saxophone/vocals), Frits Landesbergen (vibraphone/drums), Gregor Beck (drums), Thilo Wagner (piano), Lorenzo Petrocca (guitar), Daniel Barda (trombone), Bruce Adams (trumpet), Lindy Huppertsberg (bass) and Maolo Mazurie (trumpet) to form a top-class ensemble. To round off the evening, the Mama Shakers from Paris will be creating a rousing atmosphere in the hall from 5 p.m. with their unique blend of jazz, blues and country. The charming TV presenter and WELT weathergirl Maira Rothe will once again guide attendees through the programme.
Festival founder Eberhard Bezner, 90, says: “For me, jazz is more than just music. It’s been part of my life since my youth, embodying spontaneity, passion and the courage to break new ground. These values not only make every melody special to me, but have shaped me throughout my life. Driven by this conviction, JAZZ IN OLYMP has become a cultural highlight for the entire Stuttgart region, which we’ve been able to build up over many years. With the support of our programme curator, Gisela Salzer-Bothe, we have once again put together a diverse musical programme this year. But there’s one thing that’s particularly close to my heart: as always, all proceeds from admission fees, raffle ticket sales and voluntary donations will go directly and in full to the OLYMP-Bezner-Stiftung, which supports children and young people in need around the world.”
Off-stage, the supporting programme will be well worth experiencing as well. The popular raffle alone will strike just the right note with many festivalgoers, offering the chance to win shopping vouchers for the coveted shirts, polo shirts and other garments from the fashion brand’s range. Younger guests are also in for a treat. A bouncy castle will encourage them to let off steam, whilst partner Happy Faces will provide entertainment with colourful glitter tattoos and cheerful face-painting designs.
For almost 20 years, the OLYMP Bezner Foundation – established in 2008 by Eberhard Bezner, Mark Bezner and Birgit Bezner-Fischer with a personal endowment of one million euros – has acquitted itself extremely well in its commitment to charitable causes both at home and abroad. The Foundation’s aim is to support children and young people throughout the world in the areas of education, healthcare and vocational training. Detailed descriptions of these charitable and social projects are available online at www.olymp-bezner-stiftung.de.
