October 20, 2025 OLYMP-Bezner-Stiftung: 10,000 euros for the charity “Die Arche”
Donation for the Christian children’s and youth charity in Stuttgart
Since its establishment in 2008, the OLYMP-Bezner-Stiftung, a charitable foundation based in Bietigheim-Bissingen (Ludwigsburg district, Baden-Württemberg, Germany) has been committed to the education, health and training of children and young people worldwide. The Christian children’s and youth charity “Die Arche” has also been one of the numerous national and international projects regularly supported by the foundation for many years.
The nationwide children’s charity “Die Arche – Christliches Kinder- und Jugendwerk” was founded by Pastor Bernd Siggelkow in Berlin-Hellersdorf in 1995. The charity now offers free assistance to more than 8,000 children and young people in their everyday lives at over 30 locations in Germany. Since October 2023, Die Arche has also been running a leisure facility for young people in Baden-Württemberg in the Mitte district of Stuttgart. The charity is also active internationally in Switzerland, Poland and Tanzania in East Africa.
Die Arche is particularly committed to improving the living conditions of disadvantaged children and young people and their families by supporting young people in discovering their individual potential, developing their talents and leading independent lives. With its donation of €10,000, the OLYMP-Bezner-Stiftung is helping Die Arche in Stuttgart to continue to be a stable and reliable place of refuge for children in need, offering free lunches, learning support and meaningful leisure activities.
Sonja Ulrich, member of the OLYMP-Bezner-Stiftung’s executive board, says: “Children need places where they can be themselves, free from pressure and expectations. Die Arche offers them a space full of security, trust and opportunities. Hence, we are passionately committed to actively helping to shape this important environment.”
Die Arche has created an important meeting place at Danneckerstraße 48A in 70182 Stuttgart-Mitte. Its bright, light-filled rooms feature cosy seating areas for concentrated learning and homework supervision, play areas for creative development, a small library for browsing, and an exercise room for letting off steam. The programme also includes a hot lunch after school and educational support from skilled workers and volunteers. During the summer holidays, the facility organises a holiday camp, which for many children is their first experience of going on holidays ever.
Mathias Eggle, OLYMP-Bezner-Stiftung board member, adds: “It’s impressive to see how learning, playing and eating together can be combined in a holistic care programme. Driven by great dedication, Die Arche opens up real prospects for children who would otherwise have few opportunities for a normal life. We’re huge supporters of this valuable work”.
The OLYMP-Bezner-Stiftung was established in 2008 by the family of Eberhard Bezner, Mark Bezner and Birgit Bezner-Fischer, with a personal endowment of one million euros.
