September 23, 2025 OLYMP focuses on transparency in terms of its corporate responsibility
German fashion brand publishes sustainability report for 2024
OLYMP Bezner KG, in Bietigheim-Bissingen (Ludwigsburg district, Baden-Württemberg, Germany), has published its sustainability report for 2024. In this publication, the clothing manufacturer, known for its strong commitment to sustainability, documents its activities in the areas of the environment, social responsibility and corporate governance. It also explains how the family-owned business intends to become even more sustainable in the future.
OLYMP’s goal is to communicate all its sustainability activities transparently. That is why the clothing specialist is presenting a comprehensive sustainability statement in its latest report for 2024. This is based on the European CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) and also discloses the relevant data points specified by European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), insofar as these are recorded.
Johann Trischberger, COO of OLYMP Bezner KG, explains: “It is very important to us to document the impact of our business activities on the environment and society in a structured way and to make this information available to the public, even though we are not currently required to do so as a company. We focus in particular on the people in our value chain. Starting with our workforce and extending to the employees at our partner companies. For us, sustainability means that, in addition to protecting the environment, we are committed to ensuring that working conditions are good and as fair as possible.”
In this context, we want to ensure the ongoing development of a more environmentally sustainable range and transparent product information. To achieve this, the family-owned company focuses on more environmentally friendly and animal-friendly production of the plant and animal-based raw materials it uses as well as the traceability of the materials used.
Since 2014, OLYMP has regularly informed the public about the standards of working conditions in its own supply chain and how they are ensured and monitored via a social and responsibility report. Since 2019, OLYMP has also reported transparently on its own climate footprint in the form of a site report for its headquarters in Bietigheim-Bissingen. Both documents were combined in the first OLYMP sustainability report in 2021. While the fashion brand’s sustainability reports for 2022 and 2023 were still based on the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards, the new report for 2024 is aligned with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). This enables OLYMP to better compare its sustainability indicators and measures.
