OLYMP views sustainability as corporate responsibility

German fashion brand publishes its 2025 Sustainability Report

OLYMP Bezner KG, located in Bietigheim-Bissingen (Ludwigsburg district, Baden-Württemberg, Germany), has published its Sustainability Report for the year 2025. With this publication, the family-owned business continues its voluntary sustainability reporting, which it started ten years ago, covering environmental, social and governance activities. The latest report not only documents the internationally known clothing manufacturer's strong commitment to sustainability but also serves as a clear statement for corporate responsibility in challenging times.

"Responsibility is only a value if you live up to it." This quote from Mark Bezner, Owner and CEO of OLYMP Bezner KG, not only shapes the newly published report, but also defines the brand's self-image for the years ahead. The continued commitment to sustainability is proving to be a successful approach in the face of the ongoing challenges posed by global crises and their impact on business and society throughout the 2025 reporting year. "We are convinced that sustainability and responsibility make an essential contribution to addressing the challenges of our time," Johann Trischberger, COO of OLYMP Bezner KG, as he describes OLYMP’s motivation. "For too long, companies have focused on regulatory requirements and the associated costs. But sustainability has one primary goal: to protect our environment and climate while taking responsibility for people. This is indispensable if we and future generations are to look forward to a liveable future".

By voluntarily publishing this report, OLYMP deliberately places itself in a position to compare against other companies subject to mandatory reporting obligations and transparently documents the impact of its business activities on the environment and society. The comprehensive report is aligned with the European CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) and discloses the data points required by the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), to the extend they are recorded.

The 2025 report focuses on ecological and social criteria in product development and manufacturing. OLYMP relies on close collaboration with long-term partners across its global supply chain to drive meaningful progress in climate and environmental protection, as well as fairer working conditions. In doing so, the German family business also responds to the evolving needs of its customers. More sustainable product attributes are increasingly becoming key purchasing criteria and help to build stronger, long-term connections between customers and the brand. From Autumn 2026, OLYMP will take this commitment even further, communicating these attributes on every individual product through enhanced product labelling and textile certification based on recognised and reliable standards.

Already since 2014, OLYMP has regularly informed the public about the standards for working conditions within its own supply chain, including how these are ensured and verified, through a Social or Responsibility Report. In 2019, OLYMP also started publishing a transparent site report for its headquarters in Bietigheim-Bissingen, documenting its own carbon footprint. These two documents were consolidated into the first OLYMP Sustainability Report in 2021. While the 2022 and 2023 Sustainability Reports were aligned with the standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the reports for 2024 and 2025 are now guided by the CSRD.
