OLYMP: The recipe for a successful career in the fashion business

For decades, OLYMP Bezner KG, based in Bietigheim-Bissingen (Ludwigsburg district, Ba-den-Württemberg, Germany), has fulfilled its social responsibility as a qualified vocational training enterprise in the German textile and clothing industry. With qualified training posi-tions in several professions and various dual study programmes, the fashion brand interna-tionally renowned for its outstanding range of shirts, sweaters, T-shirts and other clothing items, offers young people attractive career prospects.

Heiko Ihben, Managing Director for Brand, Product & Human Resources at OLYMP Bezner KG, explains: “With our sustained investment in young people through numerous training and study places, we are not only securing our supply of skilled workers, but also strengthening our long-term competitiveness. At the beginning of the new 2025/2026 training year, there are 39 trainees and dual students in total at OLYMP. This includes 24 apprentices in the following occupations: industrial management (15), warehouse logistics (7), IT for application development (1) and IT for system integration (1). In addition, there are 15 dual students in the degree programmes Retail Fashion Management (5), Digital Business Management (8) and Business Information Systems (with a focus on business engineering) (1) and Business Information Systems (with a focus on data science) (1). The upcoming 2026/2027 training year, for which the application window has already opened, will again see up to eight training and study places on offer for industrial management, warehouse logistics, IT for system integration and retail fashion management.

The fashion house OLYMP is regularly honoured for its outstanding training achievements, for instance by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of the Stuttgart Region. Trainees at OLYMP are particularly successful in completing their apprenticeships and achieving excellent results in the Chamber of Industry and Commerce’s final examinations. Those who successfully complete their apprenticeship or course of study have a very good chance of subsequent employment at OLYMP. Many of its long-standing team members and managers began their careers with in-depth vocational training at the family-run business in Bietigheim-Bissingen.

OLYMP Bezner KG, based in Bietigheim-Bissingen near Stuttgart, is the market leader for shirts in Germany. In addition, its high-quality clothing range – which includes business, casual and full-dress shirts, knitwear, sweatwear and accessories – is sold in over 40 countries worldwide. Its revenue in the 2024 financial year was 212 million euros.
