Responsibility Product Standards
Here you can find explanations of the product standards and the cellulose-based branded fibres identified on the garment:
GOTS-certified organic fibres
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) sets strict requirements for environmentally and socially responsible production across all stages of the textile supply chain. These range from the ban on genetically modified raw materials and restrictions on the use of chemicals and dyes, to requirements for ingredients and production processes, as well as strict residue limits and quality parameters.
OCS-certified organic fibres
The Organic Content Standard (OCS) enables the precise verification of the proportion of organic fibres in a finished product. Depending on this share, OCS-Certified products carry either the OCS 100 or OCS Blended label. Organic fibres are grown according to strict ecological criteria. For example, the use of genetically modified seeds for organic cotton is prohibited, as is the use of synthetic pesticides and fertilizers.
RWS-certified wool fibres
The Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) ensures that the wool we use comes from farms that respect animal welfare and practise sustainable land management. The use of mulesing is excluded. Products are labelled where the entire wool fibre content is sourced from sheep kept under appropriate, welfare-oriented conditions. Regular audits are carried out by independent certification bodies. In 2025, 98.2% of the wool used for OLYMP was certified according to this standard.
RCS-certified recycled fibres
The Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) defines the criteria for certifying products made with recycled materials and for ensuring their traceability. OLYMP products carry the RCS 100 label (with at least 95% recycled fibres) or the RCS Blended label (with up to 94% recycled fibres).
OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN certified production
The OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN product label identifies textiles that have been manufactured under environmentally and socially responsible conditions. From yarn to finished product, production takes place in more environmentally friendly facilities and in safe, socially responsible workplaces, certified by OEKO-TEX® STeP. At the same time, the label confirms that the textile is made from materials tested for harmful substances, guaranteed by a valid OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification.
